• Large fruit pictures or large toy fruit
• Two baskets
• Large paper pretend money

Let's play

1. Set out two kinds of fruit with simple prices of one or two tokens.
2. Choose fruit and count the price together.
3. Swap buyer and seller roles, then tidy the stall.

Buy one fruit first; try adding two prices when ready.

For grown-ups

Use large paper money rather than small coins. Real fruit does not need cutting or eating.
